PHOTOFAIR KYIV 2009 SUMMARY

Four eventful days were used by the photo goods and equipment manufacturers and traders to show their novelties that include such trademarks as: Adobe Systems, CARTOTECNICA Ti. Ci., Chernil.Net, ComTel, Corel, Dedolight, Digital-labs, DOLI DIGITAL MINILABS, Domke, E-PHOTO, Ewa Marine, FUJI-MIG, HAHNEL, HI POWER, HYUNDAE PHOTONICS, INKSYSTEM, INTERFIT, INTERFOTO, KATA, Kino Flo, LASTOLITE, MAC HOUSE, MANFROTTO, MARUMI, Matthews Studio Equipment, MINOX, Mitsubishi Electric, PROMAXX, S. M. DEVELOPMENT, SLIK, SUNPAK, SuperPhoto, TAMRON, Tiffen, Verbatim, WEIFENG, Western Digital, Worldwide Manufacturing, E.D., PROPHOTO, STUDENT, SUPER PRINT, FOTOFOND, etc.

55 companies representing 16 countries of the world took part in Kyiv Photo Fair 2009.

The show program included workshops delivered by Adobe Systems, Corel, ComTel, E-Photo, PENTAX, Worldwide Manufacturing  E. D., INTERFOTO, PROFOFOTO.

This year the show organizers made again a surprise for the Ukrainian Photo Community.

The PhotoFair Kyiv Photo Vernissage is a significant event in the cultural life of Ukraine presenting various genres and trends of modern Ukrainian and foreign photo arts. Over 700 works were demonstrated at the Photo Vernissage.

For the first time the show became a venue for demonstrating photo works of the major international nature photo contest — Glanzlichter — which prize fund exceeds € 26000.

The show program included the most wide-scaled exhibition of Ukrainian Photo Club Festival representing 28 photo clubs from various regions of Ukraine. A round table was held within the festival timing.

  • A. Turtsevich (Ukraine) Lighting Schemes in Photo Art
  • A. Yefremov (Russia) Converting RAW-files and HDR Shooting.

The PhotoFair finalised the professional and amateur photo contests — Alternative, One Month — One Chef-d'Ouevre, Action Photo, Curiosities of Our Park.

For the first time the show offered KYIV LONDON Photo Quest where photo questers of Ukraine competed with their colleagues from the UK. 

The MASTER Professional Photo Festival attracted the most known advertising photographers from Russia and Ukraine who made a demonstration show photo session for all visitors.

PhotoFair Kyiv as a leading industry show in Ukraine proved again that every year brought a lot of s new innovative solutions being in line with active life tempo and breaking old stereotypes. The pace for new technologies spreading has become now the same in Ukraine and abroad.
