RESULTS OF PHOTOFAIR KYIV 2011

Over four busy days, manufacturers and sellers of photographic equipment demonstrated their new products at the exhibition. The following trademarks were presented: Adobe, Apple, Corel, Cyfrolab, Datacolor, Doli Digital Minilabs, Ewa Marine, FotonVideo, Interfit, KATA, Konica Minolta, Lomond, Leica Camera, Manfrotto, Menik, Orkio, Tiffen, Unibind, Wacom, XEROX and others. In total, 39 companies from 10 countries exhibited at PhotoFair Kyiv 2011.

Digital photo processing technologies were presented at seminars by manufacturers including: COREL (Corel Paintshop Photo Pro), Adobe Systems & Wacom (Adobe Photoshop used with the Wacom graphic tablet), and Apple & ICenter Ukraine (Apple Aperture 3). LOMOND presented the high-speed inkjet printer Lomond Evojet Office, which is positioned as the most cost-effective solution for office printing, and the latest products in the line of consumables.

 


The show program included workshops delivered by Adobe Systems, Apple, Corel, Lomond, ComTel, INTERFOTO, PROFOFOTO.

The creative component of photography was shown at the Photo Vernissage, which presented a variety of genres in modern Ukrainian and foreign photography. This year, over 700 works were shown at the Photo Vernissage.


For the first time, the exhibition displayed the winners' photographs from the "PHOTO NATURE 2011. Nature. Made in Ukraine" competition. The event also included the largest exhibition of photographic work in Ukraine, the 6th Ukrainian Photo Club Festival, which featured 27 photo clubs from 16 regions of Ukraine. In addition, awards presentations were held for several professional and amateur photo contests, including: "My Journey", "One Month - One Masterpiece" and the 2nd Panorama of My Country International Photo Showcase.
Throughout the exhibition, there were non-stop photographic demonstrations in the exhibition pavilion. Grandees of international and Ukrainian photography conducted seminars:

  • Sergey Romanov (Russia): "The expert's way: a genuine synergy of shooting and processing"
  • Andrew Turtsevich (Ukraine): "Creative techniques for shooting with digital cameras and image processing"
  • Lubomir Schmidta (Slovakia): "Elements of the Earth: water, fire, earth and air. Landscape photography"
  • Alexander Kadnikov (Ukraine): "An interesting picture - from idea to realisation"
  • Vladimir Morozov (Russia): "Photography in advertising of the 21st century: old techniques and new technologies"
  • Igor Skrynnikov (Russia): "Imitating studio lighting on the road in wedding photography"

Over the 4 days, 4689 people visited the event.

Geographic profile of visitors: 12 countries (Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, England, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) and 110 cities in Ukraine.
